dhirāʿ cubit, i.e. the length from the elbow to the tip of the middle finger of the hand, equivalent to approximately 46 centimetres
dirham value equivalent to 2.4192 grams of minted silver; also, measure of size equivalent to the upper joint of the thumb
farsakh measure of distance equivalent to approximately 5.5 kilometres, or 3.4 miles
kurr quantity of water greater or equal to approximately 384 litres
al‑mithqāl al‑ṣayrafī common mithqāl, i.e. a measure of weight equivalent to 4.608 grams
