Answer: Dancing of women in front of women or dancing of men in front of men is problematic, as a matter of obligatory precaution, one must refrain from it. The rules governing music have already been discussed earlier.
2 Question: I am studying in a new university where girls and boys sit together in the same class. What is the Islamic law about co-education?
Answer: As for mixing up with the opposite gender, the woman must observe complete Islamic modest dress code and if she needs to talk to a man, she must avoid changing her voice to make it more delicate and attractive and she should also avoid talking in a way which is inappropriate. She must observe her modesty. Generally speaking, it is better to avoid mixing up with strangers (Na-Mahram men) because normally the Shari'ah limits are not observed in such situations.
3 Question: What is the fatwa about co-education? Is co-education permissible?
Answer: If there is an evil in co-education, it is not allowed and Islam does not permit it. Normally, there is sin in co-education environments.
